The “happy ending” of construction may be endangered

The European construction sector is recovering swiftly as the pandemic recedes and the economy returns to normal. Production will reach again 2019 levels, even in those countries where 2019 was a record year. The “happy ending” seems within reach, provided that the sector can satisfy all this demand, and that is not certain at all now that many countries suffer labour shortages, certain supplies are scarce, and the price escalation of materials and energy shows no signs of slowing down.
