Next Thursday, September 26, at 11:00 CGATE offers its members the free webinar “Calculation of carbon footprint and water consumption”. In the current times, the construction sector is responsible for 36% of the final global energy consumption, for almost 40% of the total direct and indirect COâ‚‚ emissions and for more than 45% of the waste generation . The energy demand of buildings and their construction continues to increase due to better access to energy in developing countries, a greater number of energy-consuming devices and an annual increase of about 3% of the park building In this webinar we will explain the advantages of working with a budget, either in TCQ format or in BC3 format, using the BEDEC database that allows us to make this calculation that starts us in the world of impact estimation environmental We will also see how this calculation can be done in budgets, in BIM and even in the certification of work, either with traditional estimation or with BIM. This will be carried out by the ITeC, Foundation Institute of Construction Technology, with the help of Maria Villegas, responsible for Technical Support. The ITeC carries out research, design and development activities for technology-based products and services for the construction sector with the aim of improving efficiency throughout the life cycle through the generation and transfer of knowledge to the entire construction value chain aims, among many other things, to develop tools that allow the decarbonisation of the sector and therefore contribute to building a better world.
