Home automation with BIM objects based on eCOB®, in the ITeC libraryThe ITeC BIM generic object library has incorporated various regulation, maneuvering and control objects for heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations in buildings. They are the following:

  • Building control systems box
  • Ambient chronothermostat with programming for heating
  • Cyclic gel battery with microinverter
  • thermometer
  • manometer
  • Humidity sensor to connect to centralizable controller
  • Regulator for isolated photovoltaic installation
  • Heat pump convector
  • ACS safety valve

The use of integrated automated control in building ventilation and thermal installations offers the opportunity for the user to monitor and control the heating/cooling or ventilation system. All data on environmental conditions and user behavior can be transferred to a system where remote control functions can be applied.

These technological solutions optimize and significantly contribute to the improvement of energy efficiency in both new construction and renovation.

The objects developed comply with the general design requirements established by the CTE, as well as the specific instructions for these types of equipment.

They have been developed in accordance with the eCOB ® BIM object creation standard, in the eCOB version v1.0_2020 (available at ecobject.com), and are included in the classes of the IFC format (ISO 16739), and the GuBIMclass classification indicated in the following table of types added to the library:

These objects are part of the set that is being developed, in relation to the technological systems of thermal installations and ventilation of buildings, for the improvement of energy efficiency, and they complement those already published previously, available in the library website.

The objects can be consulted here . Downloadable for BEDEC users.

Manufacturers of construction products that correspond to these generic objects can have their own BIM objects adapted to the eCOB® standard at any time by contacting ITeC.
