The company  AF SYSTEMS SPA has obtained the ETA 26/0091 for its AF GRAPHIT FOAM fire penetration seal.

AF GRAPHIT FOAM is a two-component polyurethane foam with graphite used as fire penetration seal. It is used to reinstate the resistance to fire performance of a constructive element where it is penetrated by the following services:

• Insulated and non-insulated plastic pipes
• Insulated and non-insulated metal pipes
• Insulated multilayer composite pipes
• Cables, cable bundles and cable trays

The constructive elements where AF GRAPHIT FOAM may be installed are flexible walls, sandwich panels walls, timber (CLT) walls, rigid walls, rigid floors and timber (CLT) floors.

AF GRAPHIT FOAM is also intended for use as an ancillary component in the fire penetration seals as given in ETA 21/0580 for AF BRICK.

AF GRAPHIT FOAM is intended for environmental conditions as defined for use category Type Y₁ according to EAD 350454-00-1104: intended for semi-exposed use at temperatures below 0°C, with exposure to UV but not to rain.

The assessment has been carried out in accordance with EAD 350454-00-1104 Fire stopping and fire sealing products – Penetration Seals; resistance to fire, emission of VOCs and durability of the product have been assessed in ETA 26/0091.
