The company FASSA SRL has obtained the ETA 26/0073 for its EXTERNA Gyps external wall system, designed for non-load bearing mineral board external wall systems for non-ventilated façades and as a substrate wall for exterior finishes in ventilated and non-ventilated façades.

The assessment was carried out according to EAD 090120-01-0404 Kits for non-load bearing mineral board external wall systems.

The system consists of the GYPSOTECH EXTERNA Gyps external board, joint treatment, fixings, galvanised steel C/U profiles, internal or intermediate gypsum boards, mineral wool thermal insulation and an optional flexible waterproofing sheet. In configurations for use as a complete external wall in non-ventilated façades, it also includes one of the three assessed rendering systems, composed of base coat, reinforcing mesh, primer and finishing layers.

The ETA distinguishes two main applications: Use 1, as a complete external wall system in non-ventilated façades including the rendering system, and Use 2, as a substrate wall system for exterior finishes in ventilated and non-ventilated façades without the rendering system. Three construction families are also assessed: single wall, double wall without intermediate board and double wall with intermediate board.

The assessed characteristics include reaction and resistance to fire, watertightness against driving rain, water absorption, water vapour permeability, wind load resistance, impact resistance, mechanical resistance of components and several durability aspects.

The ETA annexes include build-ups and construction details for the different system families, with vertical and horizontal sections, floor connections, corners, façade base details and roof junctions.
