Coverlam is a multi-layer ceramic tile with glass fiber mesh embedded in a resin as a reinforcing element on the back side of the ceramic slab. It can be manufactured in large sizes (up to 1,620 mm x 3,240 mm) and supplied to the site in this format or in smaller formats, obtained by cutting.

The Coverlam range ranges from Coverlam 3.5 to Coverlam 20 (3.5 mm to 20 mm total tile thickness), and has been assessed for the following three uses in the ETA:

• As a cladding element for interior and exterior walls.
• As a cladding element on non-ventilated facades where the product is fixed to a substructure.
• As a paving element for indoor and outdoor floors, including stairs.

The evaluation of the product has been carried out according to EAD 090078-00-0504 Ceramic multilayer slab for wall claddings and floorings and has contemplated the characterization of its fire reaction performance, water absorption, mechanical properties and durability against various agents, in the conditions of use specific to the three uses considered.
