The company James Hardie has obtained ETA 25/0144 and DAU 25/150 for its ventilated façade cladding kit, Hardie® Panel & Hardie® Architectural Panel Cladding, composed of fibre cement boards and visible fixings.
The cladding kit includes three models of large-format boards, featuring different textures and surface finishes:
- Hardie® Panel, with smooth finish and five standard colours
- Hardie® Architectural Panel, with textured finish and six standard colours
- Hardie® Architectural Panel Metallics, with smooth finish and six metallic colours
The boards can be installed using three types of fixings, depending on the substructure:
- Self-tapping stainless-steel screws, for timber substructures
- Self-drilling stainless steel screws, for aluminium substructures
- Aluminium rivets, for aluminium substructures
ETA 25/0144 assesses the reaction to fire, wind resistance, and mechanical resistance performance of the different components of the system and their connections, as well as their durability, in accordance with EAD 090062-01-0404 Kits for external wall claddings mechanically fixed.
DAU 25/150 adopts the product performance assessed in the ETA and, additionally, provides technical information regarding design criteria, installation criteria, construction details, and compliance with the applicable Spanish regulations, in particular the Spanish Building Technical Code (CTE).
