The company MAPEI SPA has obtained 4 ETAs for its Mapetherm external insulation systems with renderings (ETICS) based on different thermal insulation materials (EPS, MW, XPS and PIR).

The four Mapetherm ETICS systems are based on the same base coat and substrate adhesion layer mortars, the same finishing coatings (7 different finishes are contemplated) and they differ fundamentally in the thermal insulation boards, which are:

• EPS (including graphite EPS): ETA 21/0947
• MW: ETA 21/0950
• XPS: ETA 21/0946
• PIR: ETA 21/0945

ETICS systems provide external thermal insulation to masonry or concrete façade walls, with thermal insulation thicknesses of 40 to 300 mm (EPS), 40 to 240 mm (MW), 20 to 120mm (XPS) and 20 to 200 mm (PIR).

The assessment has been carried out according to EAD 040083-00-0404 External thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) with renderings.

These four ETAs are currently being expanded to include new system variants, with new base coat mortars and new topcoats.
