The company MAPEI SPA has obtained the ETA 22/0775 for its Mapetherm PU foam bonded System based on EPS boards adhered to the substrate with MapePUR Multi Adhesive Foam G.

Mapetherm PU foam bonded System offers several options of base coat and finishing rendering systems and is characterised by the fact that the adhesion between the EPS boards and the substrate (ceramic or concrete) is made with the MapePUR Multi Adhesive Foam G polyurethane foam.

The system provides external thermal insulation to facade walls made of masonry or concrete, with thermal insulation thicknesses of 40 mm to 300 mm (EPS).

The assessment has been carried out according to EAD 040083-00-0404 External thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) with renderings.

The evaluation of the system based on EAD 040083-00-0404 addresses the following essential characteristics: reaction to fire, impermeability to rainwater, permeability to water vapour, durability, mechanical behaviour (resistance to wind and impacts, behaviour against self-weight, mechanical capacity of the components, adhesions and resistance of fixings) and thermal performance.
