Meeting of the EOTA Working Group for ventilated façades, at ITeC

On September 22, the first meeting of the European Working Group for the conversion of the ETA Guideline 034 into an EAD took place.

The meeting was held on ITeC premises. Institute experts from Austria, Check Republic, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and United Kingdom participated, as well as experts from the European Aluminium Association (EAA) and the European Union of Developers and House Builders (UEPC). The EC consultant for EOTA matters also participated. The experts’ comments and proposals regarding the first draft EAD were discussed.

ITeC is leading the working group on cladding kits for façades which includes meanly ventilated façades.

EOTA is the European Organisation for Technical Assessment, which deals with products without a harmonised standard that need to be CE marked, either products without a harmonised standard or products that deviate from an existing harmonised standard. As a member of EOTA, ITeC participates actively in the several organs of this European organisation.
