RODIÑAS PRETENSADOS SL has obtained DAU 26/162 for its product ROD-Pi

The company RODIÑAS PRETENSADOS SL has obtained DAU 26/162 for its product ROD-Pi, intended for the construction of floors, roofs, and façade envelopes.
The ROD-Pi product consists of a prefabricated ribbed composite slab made of timber and concrete, formed by two or three glued laminated timber beams, connected at the top to a concrete layer by perforated steel plates and a two-component epoxy resin. This configuration achieves high mechanical strength and structural stability, combining lightness with suitable performance for typical building loads.
The main assessed features include reaction to fire (D-s2,d0), shear connection strength between timber and concrete, and system durability, with specific controls for moisture behaviour, adhesion, and long-term deformation. Furthermore, the glued laminated timber meets E1 classification for formaldehyde emissions, and performance indicators regarding vapor permeability and service conditions are provided to ensure technical suitability.
This Document of Assessment for fitness of Use also establishes the criteria for on-site installation, maintenance, and rules for application in both new construction and renovation projects. The ROD-Pi product has been developed under Spanish and European regulatory frameworks, following Eurocode 5 (EN 1995-1-1) and other structural design standards, as well as the specific technical specifications of the DAU procedure.
