The company SEALED-AIR has recently obtained the ETA 25/071 for their AIRCAP E-DFL, AIRCAP E-FL, AIRCAP T-DFL and AIRCAP E-CAPL products intended for thermal insulation in walls and ceilings.
AIRCAP are thermal insulation products with radiant heat components. The products are designed for use in construction systems, adjacent to air chambers to exploit its radiant behaviour.
They are composed of the combination of layers of polyethylene with airtight air bubbles and metallized polyester or aluminium foils. The layers are assembled by thermofusion forming products between 2,5 mm to 9,0 mm. The product is packaged in rolls, and during the installation an aluminium adhesive tape of 25 mm width is used to join and seal the products.
The product has been assessed according to EAD 040007-00-1201 Thermal insulation products for buildings with radiant heat reflective component. Mechanical properties, reaction to fire, thermal insulation and water vapor diffusion resistance properties have also been analysed.
