The company FRIEDWIL has recently obtained the ETA 24/1098 for its FX5 product intended for thermal insulation in walls and ceilings.
FX5 is a thermal insulation product with radiant heat components. The product is designed for use in construction systems, related to a sealed air gap to exploit its radiant behaviour.
It is composed of an inner core of two thermobonded non-woven layers with a central metallised PET microperforated film and outer microperforated surfaces of aluminium composite foils. The layers are assembled by three longitudinal straight seams forming a product of 22 mm of thickness. The product is packaged in rolls, and during the installation an aluminium adhesive tape of 100 mm width is used to join the FX5 products.
The product has been assessed according to EAD 040007-00-1201 Thermal insulation products for buildings with radiant heat reflective component. Mechanical properties, reaction to fire, thermal insulation and water vapor diffusion resistance properties have also been analysed.
