The company NESTAAN NV has obtained the ETA 25/0189 for its SLV Internal LOW-GWP system, designed for passive fire protection of concrete structural elements.

SLV Internal LOW-GWP is a wet-mix sprayed fire-protective render composed of exfoliated vermiculite, cementitious binders (with low greenhouse gas emissions), and additives. It is supplied as a dry mix and can also be applied with a trowel on small surfaces for repairs.

The system has been assessed for use on loadbearing concrete elements (slabs and walls) exposed to fire on one side, with protective thicknesses ranging from 9.4 mm to 16.5 mm. The product may be applied directly to clean concrete or to a primed surface with an acrylic primer, without topcoat or sealing layer required.

The assessment covers fire reaction (A1 classification), fire resistance according to EN 13501-2, durability under internal conditions (Type Z2), and bond strength to the substrate. Test results show significant thermal insulation performance and resistance to detachment for up to 183 minutes of exposure, with equivalent concrete thickness values up to 64 mm.

The system is suitable for use in both new construction and renovation projects requiring fire protection of concrete structural components.
