Acciona is committed to digitalisation with a platform that controls concrete in real time

Acciona has taken a step forward in innovation in the construction sector with the launch of DIGICONCRETE, a digital platform that allows the quality and maturation of concrete to be monitored directly from the construction site. The tool, accessible from mobile devices and computers, uses wireless sensors and OCR technology to collect data with high precision and provide immediate information on the strength of the material.
This initiative reflects a clear trend within Contech: digitization. In a sector where data collection and analysis are essential, turning this information into knowledge is the key to improving processes, reducing risks and optimizing resources. With DIGICONCRETE, teams can make faster decisions, reduce formwork and stripping times and ensure greater safety on site.
The platform is already being used in projects in Spain, such as the new headquarters of the Tax Agency in Valencia and the remodelling of the Palma airport terminal. Acciona plans to expand its use to other markets, especially in the Middle East, where climatic conditions make rigorous control of concrete essential.
With this commitment, Acciona reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability, positioning digitalisation as a driver of change in construction.
