The Barcelona ConTech Hub and the ITeC were represented at the first edition of Rebuild Rehabilita , an event that took place in the charming city of Seville during the week of October 22-24, by our Director Paco Gómez Escofet .

The ConTech ecosystem and startups were very present in this edition of Rebuild Rehabilitate where it was shown that innovation is already very present in the rehabilitation sector and that it is more necessary every day.

Barcelona ConTech Hub took part in two of the events dedicated to startups.

On the one hand, Paco Gómez Escofet moderated an interesting presentation dedicated to the latest trends in technological innovation in the construction sector, focusing on its application in the field of rehabilitation, which had valuable contributions of the five speakers who spoke: Jorge Fernández-Portillo Pardo de Donlebún , Rogelio Villanueva Macdonel , Josep Jorge , Miguel Martin and Juan Nieto Villamandos. In the presentation, it was emphasized how the great technological changes that are taking place in the construction sector are also reaching rehabilitation. For example, non-structural systems to improve the energy efficiency of old buildings or their sustainability, as well as the emergence of many digital systems that accelerate the study of measures to improve and update the existing building stock.

In addition, the prize for the best startup 2024 was awarded to Breet , a project focused on the decarbonization of cities. They also presented their projects: Sunthalpy Engineering , inBiot Monitoring , NOVALTRA , OpenObra , ECLEKTE and WAISENSE . All of them stood out for their remarkable quality and were very well received by the jury of these awards.
