The Construction Innovation China programme is organising a new international immersion in Shanghai from 9 to 13 November with the aim of getting to know first-hand the Chinese innovative ecosystem applied to the construction sector. The initiative is jointly promoted by the Barcelona ConTech Hub, Connecta Barcelona and Boston Innovation Gateway, with the collaboration of other international partners and the support of the CCiC, to bring companies and professionals closer to the environments that today lead innovation on a global scale.

The program combines training, technical visits, networking and direct contact with leading companies and organizations, offering a unique opportunity to understand how China is driving the transformation of the sector.

Among the organizations that will be visited are benchmarks such as Shanghai Construction Group, GLODON, WEIBUILD and ZN House, as well as the ecosystem of the Suzhou Industrial Park, considered one of the main urban and industrial laboratories in the world.

During the mission, participants will be able to learn about trends such as robotics applied to construction, the integral digitization of processes, digital twins, modular construction, industrialization and the new digital platforms that are transforming the sector.

This initiative seeks to understand how innovation is organised in one of the most dynamic markets on the planet and invites us to reflect on industrialised construction as a different way of thinking about projects, production, collaboration between agents and asset management throughout their life cycle.

The aim is not to replicate models, but to learn from international experiences, identify good practices and understand what factors allow innovation and transformation to accelerate the sector.

Construction Innovation China wants to create bridges between Europe and China, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experiences and collaboration opportunities between companies, startups, institutions and professionals who share the same goal: to promote innovation and the transformation of construction.
