On May 27, a new edition of ConTech Bizkaia was held in Bilbao, a key meeting for technological innovation in the construction sector, promoted by ODEI, BAT B Accelerator Tower and BUILD:INN Basque Construction Cluster, of which the Barcelona ConTech Hub was a collaborating partner.

The event brought together agents from the Basque, state and international ConTech ecosystem, consolidating itself as a space for connection and knowledge exchange in terms of tech innovation in construction through startups.

The day included presentations and round tables with prominent voices from the sector, which addressed topics such as digitalization, sustainability, entrepreneurship and public-private collaboration. A pitch round was also held with seven startups that presented innovative solutions in areas such as sensors, robotics, artificial intelligence or sustainable materials: irmos technologies, JIMM Monitoring, Aecmaster, ROICO, GreenVibe, Hive Autonomy and PhotoKrete.

One of the highlights of the program was the masterclass by Jerónimo van Schendel, co-founder of Bildia, who shared key learnings about the challenges of entrepreneurship in ConTech, as well as his vision on technological adoption as a way to transform the productivity and sustainability of the sector.

The Barcelona ConTech Hub’s participation in initiatives like this reinforces its commitment to building an innovative and collaborative ecosystem at a national and European level.
