Evolution of investment in ConTech in 2025: key data and global trends

Investment in Construction Technology (ConTech) during 2025 shows a global map in full evolution. This is reflected in the analysis published by Last Week in ConTech, prepared by Bhragan Paramanantham, which has tracked all the ConTech startups that have raised funding over the last twelve months, with open data and classified by categories.

According to this analysis, North America continues to lead investment, with 3,800 million dollars, 62.4% of the global total. Europe is still far behind in volume (23.6%), but it has reduced distances in the number of transactions: 34% of rounds, compared to 46% in the United States. A difference that points to a less mature European ecosystem, but with a growth path as startups move towards later phases.

One of the surprises of the year is the acceleration of ConTech in India, which has tripled both the number of rounds and the capital raised compared to the previous year, driven by an ambitious national infrastructure plan. At the same time, robotics applied to construction sites is consolidated as one of the categories with the most activity, benefiting from the fall in hardware costs and advances in physical AI models.

Sustainable materials are once again leading the way in terms of volume of operations, although the recent change in the regulatory environment in the United States raises uncertainty about their continued leadership role. At the same time, design is emerging as a growing category, with relevant operations and an open debate on the evolution of traditional business models.

These trends reinforce the importance of connecting ecosystems, detecting emerging technologies and accompanying their real adoption in the sector. A vision fully aligned with the work of the Barcelona ConTech Hub, which works to bring startups, companies and international innovation closer together, and facilitate these global dynamics to have a tangible impact on the transformation of construction.
