Fundraising in Spain reached 4,183 million euros in 2025, consolidating itself as the second-best record in the historical series in fundraising, according to data published by Funds Society, based on SpainCap estimates through the European platform EDC.

Overall, the total volume of private equity investment in 2025 was €6,403 million, spread over 828 operations, with a growth of 1.8% compared to 2024. Private equity concentrated €4,672.7 million in 174 investments, while venture capital (the method most used by startups) closed the year with €1,731 million in 654 rounds, thus consolidating one of its best historical records.

The contribution of national funds was particularly noteworthy in fundraising, driven by unprecedented public support for SME financing. The estimated volume of divestments during the year reached €3,739 million in 390 operations, a slight increase compared to 2024.

From a sectoral perspective, these data show a greater maturity of the Spanish investment ecosystem, with particular dynamism in sectors such as Industrial Products and Services, ICT/Internet and Biotechnology. At the same time, the strengthening of private equity and venture capital creates opportunities for tech and ConTech startups looking to scale and connect with broader funding streams.

This context of robust financing also opens windows of opportunity for innovation in construction, one of the areas with growing international and national investment interest.
