On 12 May, Atom Modular, an industrial startup in modular construction, and the Barcelona ConTech Hub will present in Barcelona the first major participatory project at the national level focused on the industrialisation of housing, marking a turning point in the sector.

The event, which will take place at the ITeC and can also be followed in a Streaming, will not only be a technical presentation, but the starting point of a new model of strategic collaboration aimed at transforming access to housing in Spain and an open invitation to all actors in the sector who want to position themselves in an innovative model that is already underway.

Under the direction of Ignasi Pérez Arnal, the initiative proposes a structural response to one of the main current challenges: access to housing. It does so through an industrialised, scalable model based on technical rigour.

This project is conceived as a comprehensive strategy that seeks to activate the productive fabric, accelerate the construction of sustainable housing and redefine the traditional processes of the sector, from design to manufacturing and deployment.

Among the key pillars of the proposal are:

• Real industrialization, with optimized processes that allow you to reduce deadlines and costs.
• Sustainability, with wood as a central element to minimise the environmental footprint and boost an industrial and rural bioecosystem.
• Scalability, thanks to a model ready for immediate deployment.

In addition, the project has a solid base backed by 64 strategic agreements (MOUs) and its alignment with frameworks such as PERTE, MMC1 and UNE 6, which guarantees its viability and capacity for growth.
