The Californian multinational PROCORE, one of the main global suppliers of construction technology and Global Partner of the Barcelona ConTech Hub, has announced the acquisition of Datagrid, a startup specializing in vertical artificial intelligence applied to the sector, as announced by the company on January 20. The economic terms of the operation have not been made public.

Based in San Francisco, Datagrid develops AI agents aimed at key tasks for contractors, such as RFI validation, scope review, prequalifications, audits or the generation of work reports. Its technology makes it possible to connect different external data sources, such as ERP systems and cloud platforms, and reduce the traditional information silos in projects.

The acquisition reinforces PROCORE’s AI strategy and enables the expansion of advanced use cases for enterprises working with multiple systems. In this new stage, Datagrid’s solutions will be available to both its customers and companies that do not use its platform.

From a ConTech perspective, the transaction exemplifies a growing trend towards the integration of specialized startups within large technology platforms, a model that accelerates the adoption of innovation and multiplies its impact on the sector.
