On July 16, the Barcelona ConTech Hub attended Exponential Day 2025, the leading event in exponential technologies organized by ACCIÓ, which this year celebrated its 7th edition. A day full of innovation, disruption and connections with key players in the technological and business ecosystem of Catalonia.

The opening of the event was given by Jaume Baró, Secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya and CEO of ACCIÓ, who highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence: more than 2 billion euros in turnover and nearly 14,000 people employed in the sector.

Throughout the day, international speaker Vanessa Cann spoke about the sixth wave of industrial and technological progress, led by AI, hyperautomation and robotics . Technologies that are already being used by many ConTech startups to transform and optimize the construction sector from within.

Genís Roca and Ignasi Costas had a very enriching conversation in which they reflected on the legal, ethical and privacy challenges associated with the implementation of these technologies in the business environment.

One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of the Catalonia Exponential Leaders 2025, by Ana Simón, with more than 180 applications received. At the Hub, we are proud that Aridditive and Witeklab, two startups members of the Hub, were selected among the 30 finalist companies of this edition. We also want to congratulate the 10 winning companies, who represent the best innovative talent in the country.

Exponential Day 2025 once again demonstrated why it is an essential event for the innovative ecosystem: impeccable organization and an ideal space for networking between startups, corporations, technology centers and institutions.
