Innovation continues to open up new opportunities for the construction sector. With this objective, the Barcelona ConTech Hub has opened a new call for the ConTech Space Lab Free Program, an initiative designed to support startups that are developing solutions capable of transforming the way the built environment is designed, built and managed.

The program was created with the aim of supporting entrepreneurial projects that work in key areas for the future of the sector, connecting them with one of the most active innovation ecosystems in southern Europe.

The first coworking space specialising in ConTech in Spain

The selected startups will have access to a workspace within the ConTech Space Lab, the first coworking space specialized in ConTech in Spain, located at the ITeC headquarters in Barcelona.

The aim is to make it easier for entrepreneurial teams to carry out their activity surrounded by companies, experts, investors and organisations in the sector.

For anyone who wants to learn more about the programme, the Barcelona ConTech Hub has also published an explanatory video that summarises the main characteristics of the initiative in less than two minutes.

Technologies that are transforming the sector

The call is especially aimed at startups working in the areas that are leading the transformation of the sector on an international scale, such as:

• • Digital construction and BIM
  • Artificial intelligence applied to construction
  • New materials
  • Industrialization and off-site

ecosystem In addition to the workspace in Barcelona, the Participating startups will be able to enjoy several advantages to accelerate the development of their projects:

• Immersion within the ConTech ecosystem.
• Contact with companies, corporates and investors.
• Mentoring and specialized support of the ITeC.
• Participation in networking activities and events of the Barcelona ConTech Hub.

An opportunity for startups with a vocation for growth

The program of the second edition will be developed in face-to-face format for six months, from September 2026 to February 2027. This period is designed so that the selected startups have the necessary time to consolidate their development, expand their network of contacts and connect with the main agents of the ConTech ecosystem.

The Barcelona ConTech Hub calls on all those startups that are working on solutions capable of transforming the sector to submit their candidacy and take advantage of the opportunity to grow connected to a specialized ecosystem.
