On 17 and 18 June, the Barcelona ConTech Hub participated in the Construction Summit Turkiye 2026, one of the most important meetings in the sector in Turkey.

The event took place in the capital, Ankara, and was organized by the Turkish Contractors Association. It brought together some of the country’s main construction stakeholders and was attended by top-level institutional representatives, such as the Vice President of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz, the Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

Paco Gómez Escofet participated, as a representative of the Barcelona ConTech Hub and secretary general of the International ConTech Network (ICN), in a round table in which the impact of native AI strategies and advanced technological integration in the sector was analyzed.

The session, moderated by Mehmet Dolgan, President of Contech Türkiye, brought together experts from various fields related to innovation, technology, and construction.

According to Paco Gómez, Turkey is demonstrating a strong capacity for growth and a clear desire to position itself as one of the reference markets.

The event confirmed the existence of an ecosystem made up of entrepreneurial talent, industrial capacity, and institutional support.

The participation of the Barcelona ConTech Hub in the Construction Summit Turkiye 2026 is part of the mission of the International ConTech Network (ICN), an initiative that works to connect ConTech ecosystems around the world.

The network argues that the future of construction passes through international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and, above all, collaboration between startups, companies, investors, entities, and innovation agents.

Participation in the Construction Summit Turkiye 2026 represents a new opportunity to generate strategic alliances, share knowledge, and bring Barcelona closer to the ecosystems that are leading the transformation of construction on a global scale, contributing to building an increasingly connected and international ConTech ecosystem.
