The Barcelona ConTech Hub promotes international connection with a conference on innovation with Peruvian talent

Innovation in the construction sector continues to advance through international collaboration. In this context, the Barcelona ConTech Hub has hosted a new conference focused on knowledge transfer and connection between professionals, with the participation of a group of students from Peru.
The session is part of a training course developed jointly with the UPC, with a clear focus on innovation applied to the AECO sector.
The day began with an introduction to the Hub by Paco Gómez, Director of the Barcelona ConTech Hub.
Then, Montse Duran offered a keynote focused on innovation, highlighting the importance of transforming the sector from within through new methodologies, digitization and cultural change.
Finally, Aina Gironés facilitated a round table with startups that brought attendees closer to real cases and experiences of the entrepreneurial fabric.
The session also featured the participation of startups that are already driving relevant changes in the construction sector.
On the one hand, Beawre, represented by Víctor Muñoz, shared innovative solutions in the field of security and risk management.
On the other hand, Sustein Material, with Simón Gonzales, focused on the development of new materials and sustainable approaches.
The profile of the participants, mostly linked to civil engineering, architecture and project management, made it possible to generate a space for technical debate with a clear orientation towards the reality of the work and practical implementation.
During the conference, several key learnings were highlighted, such as the consolidation of digitalisation as a structural element, both on site and in the technical office, and the need to connect technical talent with technological solutions.
The role of startups as drivers of innovation and the growing importance of sustainability and new materials as strategic axes were also highlighted.
Finally, the session highlighted the value of international collaboration as an accelerator of knowledge and transformation of the sector.
With initiatives like this, the Barcelona ConTech Hub continues to promote meeting spaces that connect talent, industry and technology, contributing to consolidating an active ConTech ecosystem with international projection.
