The Construction Startup Competition 2025 reveals its finalists and launches the European Pitch Day

The Construction Startup Competition, one of the most important international competitions for technological innovation in construction, has announced the finalists of its 2025 edition, in which more than 560 startups from 54 countries have submitted their candidacy.

Organised by Cemex Ventures together with Trimble, Caterpillar, Dysruptek (Haskell), NOVA by Saint-Gobain, Ferrovial, Hilti, Leonard (VINCI Group) and Zacua Ventures, the competition reaches its ninth edition this year, consolidating its position as one of the most outstanding events in the global ConTech ecosystem.

For the first time, the competition will feature two face-to-face events to decide the winners:

  • Trimble Dimensions Conference, from November 10 to 12 in Las Vegas, where eight startups will compete for the first three prizes.
  • Recotech, the new European Pitch Day, which will be held in Helsinki from 17 to 19 November, where five finalist startups will present their solutions to investors, corporations and agents in the European ecosystem.

According to Miguel Carralón, Investment Advisor at Cemex Ventures, “the collaboration with Recotech allows us to connect more directly with the European innovation ecosystem, involving startups, investors and corporations in one of the most dynamic regions in the world in construction technology”.

The selected projects reflect the main trends in the sector, grouped into three main categories: Green Construction, Enhanced Productivity and Future of Construction.

Among the finalists are solutions ranging from the manufacture of materials with a negative carbon footprint (Alithic, USA) or carbon capture systems for diesel generators (Kapture, Australia), to artificial intelligence platforms for document management and monitoring of works (AItenders, France; BuildCheck AI, USA; Enlaye, USA).

At the European level, proposals such as IRIDESENSE (France) stand out with its LiDAR technology for the detection of contaminants in the field, Gravis Robotics (Switzerland) with kits to automate heavy machinery, or Hyperion Robotics (Finland), which promotes sustainable construction through 3D printing and local microfactories.

The future of the sector also lies in generative design and automation, with startups such as All3 (UK) and Birdsview (Norway), or the use of generative AI applied to project management, such as Taiyō.AI (USA).

The growing presence of European startups among the finalists confirms the moment of maturity of the ConTech ecosystem in Europe, which is increasingly connected and with the capacity to compete on an international scale.
