From 18 to 22 May, professionals linked to innovation in construction have participated in a new edition of the EPIC Boston for Construction Innovation, an international program designed to learn first-hand about the methodologies, technologies and collaboration models that are transforming the sector into one of the world’s leading innovation hubs.

Over five days, participants combined strategic sessions, technical visits, benchmarking activities and networking spaces to understand how to build ecosystems capable of accelerating innovation and generating real impact on the industry.

The program has included training sessions at the Hult International Business School with experts such as Manuel C. Mendes Jr., Andrea Romero and Hitendra Patel, as well as visits to world-leading institutions such as Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where the role of talent, research and the connection between university and business has been explored.

Participants were also able to learn about initiatives related to artificial intelligence, innovation in materials, sustainability and new urban development models, as well as visit projects in progress with Suffolk Construction, one of the most innovative companies in the sector in the United States.

One of the highlights of the program has been the possibility of analysing how strategy, technology, ecosystem and execution are connected within high-innovation environments. A comprehensive vision that allows us to better understand the factors that drive the transformation of the construction sector and facilitate the adoption of new solutions.

Beyond the contents, the program has also become a space for connection between professionals, companies and international experts, favouring the exchange of knowledge and the emergence of new opportunities for collaboration.

The Barcelona ConTech Hub particularly values this type of initiative that contributes to bringing the trends, methodologies and experiences that are shaping the future of construction on a global scale closer to the hub ecosystem.
