• It allows you to check the monthly evolution of the prices of the main materials.
• Update of the data of the 26 environmental indicators associated with the elements, with the information of the latest version of Ecoinvent 3.12, the most widely used basis in environmental product declarations.
• In recent years, a notable effort has been made to expand the bank’s elements, currently having 1,500,000 elements between work items and simple elements.
• The incorporation of items from INCASÒL Urbanisation and the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) that have adopted Banco BEDEC as their own bank, have allowed for major expansions.
• Other extensions have been due to previous collaborations:
  • Restoration items with the collaboration of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of GENCAT,
  • Construction of social housing and rehabilitation with the Metropolitan Housing Consortium,
  • Asbestos removal with Barcelona Municipal Infrastructures (BIMSA),
  • Gardening and landscaping with the Spanish Association of Arboriculture, the Spanish Association of Landscape Engineering, the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects, the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens, the Association of Green Spaces Professionals of Catalonia, the Official College of Agricultural Technical Engineers and Agricultural Experts of Catalonia, the Federation of Nurseries of Catalonia, the Gardening Guild of Catalonia and the Gardening Guild of the Counties of Tarragona,
  • Slope protection with the Spanish Association of Companies Specialising in Slopes,
  • and those of actions in the natural environment with Forestal Catalana SA, Barcelona Provincial Council, Girona Provincial Council, Catalan Water Agency and the Official College of Forestry Engineers of Catalonia.
• Also the recent incorporation of the products of the companies EMCO, MOLINS and SELDX. As well as updating existing ones.

Functionalities

• “What’s New” has been added to the top line of BEDEC. You will find the latest publications, the BEDEC Bank Criteria, the price variation indices of the main BEDEC materials, etc.
• The “Where to use” option for an item has been improved, showing the specific work items that use it in their price justification.
• The calculation system of the parameter “Variation according to the volume of new construction” has been adjusted, keeping the cost of labor unchanged and assuming it in the variation of materials and machinery. Thus ensuring that the cost of labor can never be below the minimum agreement.
• The “Adapt-web” and “Adapt prices over the Internet” utilities, at the end of their process, generate a BC3 file that is used for the “Compare” utility of TCQ that allows you to obtain elements of the original budget that are not in the BEDEC bank and vice versa, or to obtain the differences that may exist between the information of the common elements of both banks (description, unit of measurement, price, components, etc.)

Next version of BEDEC

We are working on the expansion of energy rehabilitation work items for buildings, accessibility (urban environment and interior of buildings) and Bioconstruction items and on the incorporation of environmental data on transport from factory to site (phase A4 of the life cycle analysis). In terms of functionalities, in the next version it will be possible to export the bank of favorites to BC3.
