Conversion of the third set of ETA Guidelines to European Assessment Documents has begun

By Published On: 17/04/2018Categories: Old-EOTA

In the 15th report from ITeC EOTA Office, the main topic is the initiation of the conversion of the third set of ETA Guidelines to European Assessment Documents (EAD). Moreover, during this year’s first semester 21 EAD have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, which reflects the dynamism of the European Technical Assessment (ETA) route.

These ETA Guidelines under conversion are: 005, 006, 007, 009, 010, 011, 015, 017, 019, 022, 028, 031 and 032. ETA Guidelines 015, 030 and 034 on which work had already started are also included in this group. ITeC leads conversion works of ETA Guidelines 028 and 034.

As long as the corresponding EADs have not been completed and published, ETA Guidelines will continue to be used for the emission of ETAs. ETA Guidelines can be consulted on the EOTA website.

The Reports from ITeC EOTA Office regularly compile information -news with comments- and relevant documents issued at European level, based on EOTA meetings and documents circulated through this organisation.

EOTA is the European Organisation for Technical Assessment dealing with products either not covered by any harmonised standard or deviating from an existing harmonised standard. As a member of EOTA, ITeC participates actively in all levels of this European Organisation.
