ITeC leads the second step of EAD project on ventilated façade cladding kits
On June 17 took place the Kick-off meeting of the Working Group – WG034 for the modification and improvement of the European Assessment Document – EAD 090062 – 00 – 0404 on kits for external wall claddings mechanically fixed in ventilated and non-ventilated facades. This project is called 2nd step ETAG 034 and it is being led by ITeC once again, after its first step (years 2016 to 2018) that concluded with the EAD 090062 – 00 – 0404 publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (2018/C417/07).
This Working Group includes representatives from 13 Technical Assessment Bodies of EOTA – European Organisation for Technical Assessment, from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. In addition, this group involves the European associations EU Aluminium and EURIMA representing the industry and the European Commission consultant for EOTA works.
A total of 19 people representing these organizations attended this meeting, held virtually due to the current circumstances. In this first meeting it was agreed the scope of the modifications to be made and the respective action plans. This project has an estimated deadline of one year.
