Meeting of the EOTA Working Group for fire retardant products at ITeC
On April 5, the first meeting of the European Working Group for the conversion of the ETA Guideline 028 into a European Assessment Document (EAD) took place.
The meeting was held on ITeC premises. Institute experts from Germany, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom participated, as well as an expert from the European association Construction Products Europe. The EC consultant for EOTA matters also participated. The experts’ comments and proposals regarding the first draft EAD were discussed.
ITeC is leading this Working Group. It also participated actively in the ETA Guideline 028 development.
EOTA is the European Organisation for Technical Assessment, which deals with products without a harmonised standard that need to be CE marked, either products without a harmonised standard or products that deviate from an existing harmonised standard. As a member of EOTA, ITeC participates actively in the several organs of this European organisation.
