This year the REBUILD 2024 Fair, held last March 19-20-21 at IFEMA in Madrid, has made a strong commitment to Contech with an extensive agenda of events dedicated to this theme, among which Barcelona Contech Hub was present and participated very actively

On Wednesday March 20, the first REBUILD event was held at the Barcelona Contech Hub . This event, called “How to value your startup. Valuation and financing” was directed by Margarita de la Peña Virgós and had the participation of Josep Jorge , Miquel Martin and our Hub Leader Paco Gómez Escofet . In this session, valuable advice was presented for all those ConTech startups who want to undertake, innovate with technology in the Construction sector.

Also last Thursday, March 21, Paco Gómez Escofet , HUB leader of the Barcelona Contech Hub , presented the Spanish Contech Map once again at the REBUILD Fair, in an event called “The ConTech ecosystem in Spain. The Contech Map and all its agents”. This map collects the startups and the most innovative projects in the Contech scene in Spain.

In this 2024 edition, the number of startups and technologically innovative projects in the Construction sector has increased by 31% compared to the map of the previous edition, indicating a clear upward trend of Contech in our country.

Innovation through technology in construction is taking the lead in Spain. There is a lot of talent and desire to advance this sector in terms of digitization, sustainability, productivity and improving the relationship with the environment as well as incorporating more and more women into the AECO sector since it has been shown that in those projects with more parity of sexes advances more and better.

Contech startup Awards 2024 was held as the closing act of Contech at Rebuild, directed by Gemma Travería , Director of the REBUILD Event, which consisted of an award ceremony for the best REBUILD 2024 startups.

Among the awards were the REBUILD 2025 Stand Award, access to the accelerator of the Technova Room, the Venture Capital Stack Zacua Ventures Mentorship, the Spanish Ecosystem Analysis TBSV Mentorship and registration in the Barcelona Contech Hub for a year, useful prizes that aim to serve as a boost for the growth of startups.
