The BOE dated 19/03/2026 publishes the opening of the public information period of the draft standard UNE-PNE 41610 on Industrialised Construction that the Spanish Association for Standardisation is currently processing.

This draft standard deals with three basic topics: the fundamental definitions of the most common terms in this field, the classification systems of industrialized components and the quantification of the level of industrialization of a building.

All this should make it possible to speed up the current processes of promoting industrialised construction and, more especially, in its contribution to solving the housing challenge.

At ITeC we have participated intensively in the preparation of this draft standard, which has required a significant effort of synthesis and consensus, given the impact it has on the sector. In this work we have collaborated with the Spanish Association of Industrialized Construction (AECI), the National Association of the Precast Concrete Industry (ANDECE), the Official College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Madrid and the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences (IETcc), coordinated by UNE and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda.
