Licinio Alfaro, Head of Sustainable Construction Projects at ITeC, has been appointed Coordinator of the new working group (WG 13) that will deal with Digital Building Logbooks (DBL), after the vote carried out by the different representatives of the member countries of CEN/TC 442.

This European initiative is part of the process of progressive digitalisation of the built environment and represents a significant boost towards European standardisation in terms of sustainability.

The digital building book must be the place that concentrates all the information on buildings and acts as a point of connection between the different agents involved in their life cycle.

It is a fundamental tool for advancing in sustainability, especially in terms of healthy materials, durability, recycling, reuse and the circular economy.

Since the first initiatives linked to the Building Book, more than thirty years ago, at ITeC we have promoted the development of knowledge and tools that today form the basis of the Digital Building Logbooks (DBL). Our goal is to make the best solutions available to the sector and share the evolution of this tool at the European level.
