At the ITeC Board meeting held on the 21st November, Jordi Gosalves was appointed the Institute’s new Vice-chairman, in his capacity as Executive Chairman of the Board of the Catalan Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers.

Jordi Gosalves, who will take up this newly created post, is chairman of the Barcelona Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers (CAATEEB), one of ITeC’s founding bodies and a permanent part of the Institute’s Board and Standing Committee.

This appointment reinforces the Institute’s Board structure with a view to facing future challenges as an institution providing an across-the-board platform for all agents involved in the construction sector. ITeC is promoting a transition process for the current sector model towards a new, more collaborative version, based on innovative methodologies such as BIM (Building Information Modelling) supported by constant improvement and inefficiency minimising techniques such as Lean Construction and Integrated Project Management.
