Lean Construction Barcelona had the honor of participating in the first edition of the prestigious EuGLC Conference , an event that is already consolidated as a reference space for all agents who promote the Lean methodology throughout Europe.
On April 3 and 4, the city of Lille (France) became the stage where experts and enthusiasts of the Lean world met to share ideas, experiences and knowledge in an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration.

The first day offered a variety of thematic workshops, as foreseen in the official program, which allowed attendees to delve deeper into current and highly relevant issues. Among the most outstanding activities, it is worth mentioning the peer-to-peer sessions, which encouraged direct exchange and constructive debate.

In this context, Víctor Roig , co-founder of Bimetric and member of the Lean Committee of Lean Construction Barcelona , presented the pioneering initiative LIPS – Lean in Public Sector , which aroused keen interest among the participants.
Also representing Spain, José Gil , member of AEDIP, announced the Kobah Awards, of recognized prestige and promoted by LCI Mexico, which were awarded for the first time in Spain in November 2024 at the Lean Construction Forum. His presentation brought a new international dimension to the Kobah Awards.

The evening of April 3rd culminated with an elegant and relaxed gala dinner, which offered an ideal environment for networking and establishing personal and professional bonds. A key moment to consolidate a cohesive and forward-thinking Lean community.

The next day, April 4, the program continued with a series of presentations and round tables that addressed topics of great importance for the development of Lean thinking.
Among the highlights of the day, it is worth highlighting the intervention of Juan Felipe Pons , founder of Think in Lean and member of both the Lean Committee of Lean Construction Barcelona and LCI Latam, who served as keynote speaker with the conference “Integrating Lean Construction: The Three Pillars that Drive Cultural Transformation”.

The EuGLC Conference concluded with the Meeting Chaired by EuGLC Steering Committee where groups of representatives from each country agreed on the next steps for the official formation of the European Lean Construction Group and the integration of the groups from the different countries.

The EuGLC was woven as the platform for alliances with Lean institutions from Europe, Latin America and other countries highly active in the field, such as Singapore.

From Lean Construction Barcelona we would like to express our gratitude to the organizers of the meeting and especially to Centrale Lille and Zoubier Lafhaj for making this key event possible, which has undoubtedly contributed to strengthening collaboration and the flow of knowledge within the European Lean community.

With enthusiasm and commitment, we will continue working together to build a more Lean, more efficient and collaborative future.
