Euroconstruct Summer 2026 Presentation
The Spanish construction sector: is it time to resort to the emergency kit?
The economic consequences of the war with Iran are very reminiscent of those caused by the invasion of Ukraine. That episode took a not insignificant toll on the European construction sector, while Spain managed to come out of that crisis relatively well. It is a reassuring precedent, but it must be remembered that no two crises are the same.
In the same way that households are recommended to have an emergency kit ready, it is advisable to review what resources the construction sector in Spain has to deal with the approaching turbulence. Fortunately, the sector has a kit equipped with two valuable elements: a solid perception of Spain as a destination for real estate investment and a public sector that has finally begun to promote housing. However, it is inappropriate that the Next Generation funds are coming to an end just now.
ITeC will review Euroconstruct’s forecasts for the construction sector, both in Spain and Europe, in two public presentations, one in Seville and the other in Barcelona.
