The Spanish construction sector, against the tide

The year 2025 is not bringing much joy to the European construction sector. It is on track to close with negative production figures in Germany and Italy, while it stagnates in France. Apparently alien, the Spanish construction sector could grow more than twice as much as the GDP of the euro area. As with the economy, Spain has become an exception, this time a positive one.

By definition, any exceptionality is temporary and the expansionary cycle of the Spanish sector will come to an end. The question is whether there is enough inertia to prolong it, or whether, on the contrary, it will be interrupted abruptly. The fact that part of the boost is the product of the infrastructure and rehabilitation works paid for with the Next Generation funds could fuel the thesis of an abrupt end. But there are reasons to think that the reactivation of the residential market will not be ephemeral, and that public housing development is here to stay. In any case, the sector is not left without arguments to continue growing.

On this occasion, there will be two presentations, one in Madrid and the other in Barcelona, on different days.
