CONSTRUYENDO MADERAULA

Innovation and entrepreneurship to boost the wood value chain aimed at sustainable construction.

Construyendo Maderaula has the support of Fundación Biodiversidad of Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO) ithin the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

The lack of training in modern wood construction, especially in industrialized concrete construction, is an obstacle to integrating these techniques into the construction industry in our country. This also affects the development of the forestry industries, the production of building materials derived from forest and agricultural biomaterials, and prefabrication and assembly companies that could meet the growing market demand.

The practical approach to holistic training for various professionals in the sector will be essential for the Construyendo Maderaula project, both in its implementation and continuation. The project involves the construction of the National Reference Center for Industrialized Wood Construction (Maderaula Center), a key milestone in the national strategy for training future members of an entire industrial chain. This building will not only be a meeting point for future experts but will also serve to train the first generation of highly qualified professionals, essential for the growth of the sector.

The main goal of Construyendo Maderaula goes beyond training professionals for the wood construction industry, seeking to promote entrepreneurship in a growing sector at both the national and Spanish-speaking levels. The Maderaula center will cover the entire value chain, with a special focus on prefabrication and assembly of industrialized products, with an emphasis on Industry 4.0.

MAIN ROLE OF ITeC
