HOUSEFUL

Innovative circular solutions and services for new business opportunities in the EU housing sector
HOUSEFUL
At EU level, the housing sector is responsible for 9% of GDP, but it also uses 50% of the extracted materials, 40% and 30% of available energy and water respectively, aside from causing 30% of total waste and 35% of green-house gas emissions.

HOUSEFUL will present 11 circular solutions throughout the life cycle of a building, considering energy, materials, waste and water.

  1. Definition of a new method for the analysis of circularity;
  2. Attracting opportunities to offer circular services;
  3. Digitization of materials with information on the entire life cycle;
  4. Obtaining local materials;
  5. Treatment and reuse of rainwater and grey water;
  6. Treatment and reuse of not separated water;
  7. Treatment of wastewater and organic waste to produce biogas;
  8. High quality compost / compost of local origin (sewage);
  9. Optimal waste management at the end of the building’s life cycle (service);
  10. Improvement of energy efficiency from passive solutions;
  11. Guarantee energy savings and energy production in buildings.
