On October 30, 2025, the Meier Auditorium of the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) will host, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the event “Building Change: Boosting Innovation for Affordable and Sustainable Housing in Europe”, a benchmark meeting that aims to promote innovation in the construction sector to move towards more affordable and sustainable housing on a European scale.

The event, organised by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Barcelona City Council, will bring together institutional leaders and top-level international experts. The event will be attended by mayors from various European cities – such as Barcelona, Rome, Milan and Paris – as well as representatives of housing departments and EIB officials.

Our organization will have a double outstanding participation:

• Francisco Diéguez, Director General of ITeC, will speak in the second panel: What can the public sector do to catalyse innovative housing construction?
• Paco Gómez, Hub Leader of the Barcelona Contech Hub, will do so in the third panel: How can we expand innovative solutions?
