The city breathes
On the 22nd of September, coinciding with the World Green Building Week – organised by WorldGBC -, ASA, GBCe and ITEC are launching a series of events previous to the COP21 –CMP 11 Paris Climate Summit.
Under the slogan The City Breathes, these events are part of the general programme for this year’s Green Building Week, “Powering Positive Change”. In 2015, this international week of events, gatherings and workshops, celebrated worldwide, focuses on how sustainable architecture and urbanism are powering the change towards a greener and better future.
Today, we know the keys to reduce global emissions and enjoy more liveable cities, compatible with the climatic challenges set for COP 21.
In The City Breaths, we will debate and reflect upon three important questions:
- What urban initiatives are taking place on a European level?
- Which are the main social, economic and technological barriers?
- Which are the mechanisms to overcome these barriers?
