ITeC hosts the conference “Sustainability, beyond decarbonization”
On June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the ITeC headquarters will host the conference Sustainability, beyond decarbonization. This session will be the last of a three-day cycle dedicated to decarbonisation in the building sector, organised jointly with the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia (EIC) and with the support of the Catalan Institute of Energy.
The first session, Why decarbonize? will deal with the current problem and challenges, with a technical and official basis and will take place in the Administrative District of the Generalitat de Catalunya on June 1.
In the second, How to decarbonize?, current solutions and initiatives for both existing and new buildings will be presented. It will take place at the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia on June 8.
Finally, in this conference that will take place at ITeC, the aim is to focus on the future: to understand that carbon emissions are key, but not the only indicator, introducing concepts such as the life cycle and circularity.

10:50 – 11:10h Integral circularity in a remodeling project, by the EIC
11:10 – 11:30h The future of sustainability, Oscar Nieto, Head of Policies at the European Commission (in Spanish)
11:30 – 12:00h Round table and question time, with Licinio Alfaro, Director of Innovation and Sustainability Projects at ITeC, as moderator
