The Tuesday Pill: Spatial Data Infrastructures, technologies for interoperability in spatial planning and management
SDIs are born from the European directive INSPIRE seeking interoperability in terms of production, planning and management of cartography, among all European countries, and among all bodies with competence in land management. Hence the LISIGE law in Spain, and initiatives such as IDEE, IDECYL or local SDIs (Zaragoza, etc…) or thematic (Catastrophe, etc…) that offer us important information and a detailed knowledge of the space we need analyzed. At the same time, one of its main components are geographic information services, which allow all kinds of analysis and interaction operations between different sources of information based on geographical location, the characteristics of the terrain, among other factors.
