A company has developed a product during a R&D project granted with EU funding where a number of other partners have also collaborated. The product performance is promising enough for bringing it to the market. For this purpose, ITeC has prepared a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make a formal agreement between the project partners for the joint intellectual property of the new product. It also defines a common line of action regarding protocols for product dissemination, product licencing, information exchange, profit share, reporting, confidentiality issues, and conditions for terminating the agreement.

Asessing the production levels of the extractive industry that supplies the construction sector and crosschecking them with the statistical indicators of building and civil engineering activity, a model has been developed to anticipate the future demand of aggregates. The evolution of this market has been tracked since 2004 using this procedure, witnessing both its historical highs and its historical lows.
The market for structural engineered wood
The concern about the environmental footprint of construction is growing, and it is driving up the demand for construction techniques based on engineered wood. Everything suggests that the trend will keep accelerating, but it is unknown when it will find its ceiling. This report has compared the situation in Spain with other European countries where wood has a larger market share, in order to measure the gap and to check the chances of narrowing it.
Impact of price variation on the budget deviation of a project
A public body that had launched a major construction project needed to determine the reasons behind the budget overrun it was facing. One contributing factor was the rise in labour and material prices. To assess how this has impacted the project’s actual cost, ITeC was asked to analyse more than 600 items in the project budget, computing the price increases or decreases experienced in the past months.

Therefore, before the project pipeline restarts again, there must be signs of the stock getting low in the real estate market.

Description of the procedures to follow to submit a request to the Administration regarding an irregular CE marking of a construction product that is already on the market. It is the result of an analysis of the current legislation (European and Spanish) regulating the product in question, complemented by consultations with the authorities responsible for market surveillance, with whom it has been verified which steps the complainant must take.
Tool for estimating construction costs of agro-food buildings
It calculates a reference budget for premises for fruit, vegetable and meat industries. The required inputs are the surface of the building and a facility check-list that defines if it will have offices, accommodations, cold storage, freezing rooms, loading docks, electric power transformer station, fire protection, etc. It also considers the enlargement of existing premises.

The study has stratified the existing housing park according to building types, location and age, and has found which are the optimal renovation systems and the thickness of insulation needed in each case. The result is a map that reflects the latent demand for insulation (quantity and type) throughout the country.
