Technological Information Service (SiT)

Do you have doubts about which regulation to apply?

The Technological Information Service (SiT) of the ITeC provides information on all the regulations in the construction sector and their application.

The SiT, in addition to informing and interpreting the regulatory provisions in force at the European, national and regional levels of the sector in the areas of building, industrial work and civil work, provides technical information on products, equipment and systems (PEiS) and the companies that manufacture them.

The SiT makes available to users all the information on the regulations of the sector, both current and repealed, being able to consult the legal text of the regulations as well as their regulatory analysis (previous and subsequent references to the provisions, dates of publication and entry into force, etc.).

How do you access the SiT?

The SiT Service is carried out through a web platform for the purpose and can be accessed:

  • In the case of professional groups that have established a collaboration agreement with the ITeC, through a link from the colleges’ own website.
  • In the case of institutions, companies and liberal professionals, who have contracted this Service, from the icon site

Because it is a web platform, it can be accessed from any device with an internet connection. Users can consult all the information contained in the SiT, as well as make questions and/or suggestions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year . The deadline for responding to queries is, at most, 24 hours, on working days.

The professional group, institution or company determines which users can access the SiT.

How to subscribe?

Professional groups, institutions, companies or doctors interested in subscribing to the SiT can contact the Commercial Department of the ITeC by email: comercial@itec.cat or by phone 933 093 404.

How is the information structured in the SiT?

The information contained in the SiT is organized in specific blocks to facilitate its location. Each of these blogs can be subdivided into others or display their content directly. This structuring of the information is agreed upon with each of the professional groups, institutions or companies based on their particularities and/or needs.

Regarding the content of the blogs , it is divided into three sections: Regulations , Frequently Asked Questions and Other information . In the Regulations section, the list of all current regulations that apply in the corresponding block is displayed. This list is indexed, either by chronological order, or by order of normative rank. The regulations are grouped according to their scope: European, state and regional.

The Frequently Asked Questions section is where the most common questions and answers formulated by users are incorporated in order to share knowledge.

In the Other information section there are links related to the topic of the blog. These links can lead to: websites, technical documents, computer applications, tools of interest and/or support for users.

Normative scope of the SiT

Currently, the regulatory scope of the SiT is, at the autonomous level, Catalonia, and at the state level, although it is planned that, in the future, it will be extended to other autonomous communities and other countries, depending on the needs of the groups , institutions and companies.
