CPR Acquis

By Published On: 01/02/2024Categories: Commission

Since 2021, the European Commission has initiated a dialogue with EU countries to plan for and organise future work to adapt the Acquis (i.e., the harmonised standards, the European assessment documents and the legal acts of the European Commission). Adapting the acquis is necessary in any case and it is planned to be implemented under both, the current CPR and the CPR revision.

The first step was to identify the different product families and their priorities. Afterward, according to the stablished priority order, several working groups (called ‘subgroups’) have been established.

At present, there are eight active subgroups, seven of them regarding specific product families (and one thematic (applicable to all the product families). These subgroups are in different stages of progressing.

It is expected that the result of this work will result in different legal acts of the European Commission that include the aspects that must be taken into account for each product family.
