S’han publicat 26 nous EADs que fan possible el marcatge CE de nous productes i sistemes constructius innovadorsDecision (EU) 2024/237 has been published in OJEU on 17.01.2024, including 26 new EADs-European Assessment Documents, as follows here.

This new delivery of EADs joins another 382 EADs previously published in the OJEU under Construction Products Regulation and completes a total of 408 EADs published to date, for a wide variety of innovative and non-standarised products and systems.

The EADs are documents developed by the EOTA-European Organization for Technical Assessment, which serve as the basis for the issue of the ETA-European Technical Assessment and the subsequent CE Marking of innovative or non-standarised products and construction systems.

All EADs cited in the OJEU can be downloaded here.

In this latest publication of 26 EADs there is a wide variety of innovative products and new applications, which respond to the manufacturers’ needs to certify their new products and functionalities, in the context of the new challenges of the construction sector in terms of mitigation of environmental impacts, industrialization of solutions and optimization of product performance.

More specifically, we highlight three EADs for industrialized façade solutions, in whose development and coordination the ITeC has played a significant role. These EADs are:

EAD 090062-01-0404
Kits for external wall claddings mechanically fixed (superseding existing EAD 090062-00-0404)

EAD 090097-00-0404
Kits for external wall claddings glued to the subframe

EAD 090125-00-0404
Kits for external wall claddings with multilayer composite rigid cladding elements

These EADs cover a very wide range of discontinuous façade cladding kits (whether ventilated or non-ventilated), including all the following:

  • Multiple types and materials of cladding elements.
  • Systems where the cladding elements are fixed mechanically to the substructure (with different mechanical resources such as apparent point fixings, profiles inserted in slots, hidden point fixings embedded in the rear side of the element, etc.) and systems in which the cladding elements are fixed through adhesives.
  • Different types of façade substructures (generally consisting of brackets, fixings and vertical and/or horizontal profiles), which can be made of aluminum, steel or wood.

EOTA has developed these three EADs in parallel, with the coordination of ITeC, in order to ensure that the approach and evaluation methods in the three EADs are complete and coherent for the set of façade cladding typologies considered.
