The company Dasein Ingenieros, S.L has been granted the ETA 23/0265 for its SEI structural connection system for concrete prefabricated elements (column-beam-column).
The SEI connection system consists of three metallic pieces: an internally threaded upper bushing, a hexagonal nut and an internally and externally threaded bottom sleeve; it is used to connect load bearing precast reinforced structures (column-beam-column). The system transfers axial (tension or compression) and shear forces between the connected threaded bars.
The assessment is mainly focused on the determination of mechanical capacity of the connection, which leads to the following essential characteristics:
- Characteristic tensile strength in service
- Characteristic tensile strength during installation
- Characteristic shear strength
- Characteristic compression strength in service
- Characteristic compression strength during installation
The ETA also assesses the durability and the reaction to fire of the connector.
